Understanding Spinal Flow Technique

Spinal Flow Technique was founded by Dr Carli Axford to facilitate a rebalancing in the nervous system. It was created to help restore the parasympathetic nervous system which supports the body’s natural ability to heal and recover.

The nervous system is comprised of the brain as well as the nerves that are housed in the spinal column, ending at the coccyx. The entire system is surrounded by dura-matter; a membrane that protects the spinal cord and brain and is highly sensitive and receptive to touch. Using light touch on specific access points on the body, and without spinal manipulation, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated and the body can move in to a rest-digest-heal state.

Blockages caused by physical, emotional and chemical stress create and a lack of ease in our bodies and inhibits our Qi from flowing up and down the nervous system. Spinal Flow Technique supports the regulation of your emotional state, bringing you out of fight-flight-freeze, increasing energy flow and blood supply to every organ, muscle and cell in our body. This enhances healthy digestion, detoxification, immune responses, mood stability, clarity of thinking, sleep issues and reduces inflammation in the body, to name a few

This beautiful technique is shown to reduce your heart rate, normalise your breathing, and release stress and trauma that has been stored in the body. Spinal Flow Technique provides and environment for your body to use it’s innate ability to heal.

is the greatest force in getting well
